With the Commonwealth Games coming,  I thought that I would send you a list of all medal winners from Oceania at the Commonwealth Games since its inception in 1950.

Also I have just done some research on World Championship medals and this is what I have come up with.   Lifters from Oceania who have won World Championships medals – either Senior, Junior or Youth.

I have also researched Oceania medallists at Olympic Games. 

• The first ever was Vern Barberis (Australia) at the 1952 Olympic Games to win a Bronze medal.  
• The second was Robert Kabbas (Australia) winning a Silver medal at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games. 
• Third was Dean Lukin (Australia) winning a Gold Medal at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games. 
• Fourth was Stefan Botev (Australia) winning Bronze Medal at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. 
• Fifth was Ele Opeloge (Samoa) winning Silver medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
