Dear Friends,

Greetings from Dromana. It has been 30 years since I organised my last weightlifting event in Melbourne – which was the 1993 World Championships. As you know since then, I have spent over 27 years in the Pacific.

Now that I’m back in Melbourne and although I am coaching only one female lifter, I have decided to host an Elite Tournament on the 25th March at 2pm at the Hawthorn Weightlifting Stadium.

There will be only two sessions. At 2.00pm the women and at 3.30pm the men.

The reason I am doing this is simply because the National Team of Samoa – full of superstars - are spending a week training in Melbourne and I thought it would be a good idea to set up an elite international tournament in order for everyone to physically see these super athletes in action. Therefore I am extending an invitation to you all to attend – if you are free and have no other engagements on that afternoon, please come down and enjoy three hours of real world class weightlifting.
